This was originally a series of 9 (the featured print is print #2 of 9). Each print had slight variances and all were signed by the artist.

Hagan is a contemporary artist producing surrealist and colorful abstractions of emotional expression. An unhinged spirit that chooses various figures and objects to bring them to life in a movement of acrylic brush stokes and innumerable thin layers. Each painting is an inner turmoil given shape and expression, freeing the artist's body from the ever present and continuing anguish of existence. Hagan's work is a subversive exploration of emotional extremes, abstract notions, and vivid colors taut with tension.

There is no answer to the meaning of each painting, each answer to the questions posed by Hagan's paintings are kept forever in the experience of creation. It is in creation that humans are able to temporarily ease the existential crisis forever present in our consciousness. As a troubled child Hagan found release only through the expression found in painting. Aging and living through major depression, extreme poverty, isolation, delusional ideations, and manic highs of impenetrability has led Hagan back to the answers that were clear at the start of life. There is no expression that allows one to process internal experiences of self awareness like the creation of painting.

Hagan's art has been shown in underground exhibitions throughout the slums of San Francisco and the Bay Area. First appearing in a Haight Street Exhibition in 2012, blending alternative cultures and up and coming artists. Hagan continues to paint and show work sporadically and abruptly throughout the bay.
