Martin Whatson "Riot vs Peace" screen print 2016 signed & embossed w/ COA RARE. A 10 color screen print on Somerset paper 350. A truly iconic, early piece in Martin Whatson's catalog. Edition of 35 this is 25/35 in the edition. Comes with coa from graffiti prints.

These have become incredibly hard to find. With an edition of only 35 (the print is also almost 8 years old now) it is no wonder.

The print has been stored flat for some time, has a bit of the normal whitening around the edges that seemingly all of these got with age. This piece was done in late 2015/ early 2016. This style is imitated by many, duplicated by none, it is immediately identifiable as Whatson. The print is embossed with Martin's signature "M".

In the lower right hand corner and signed in white ink "Whatson 2016" atop the embossing, once again, in Whatson's signature, almost calligraphic styled script. In the lower left hand corner you have the original "graffiti prints GP" round blind stamp reminiscent of the pictures on walls, "POWS" blind stamp seen on many iconic works. The actual print you see pictured is the print you will receive. If you need any help framing the piece simply shoot me a message.

If you are looking for a hard to find Whatson - here it is. Feel free to reach out with any questions or inquiries. Whatson's work seems to rise steadily while most other "urban artists" have witnessed a steady decline as of late.

Wonderful show piece - this is the one. 7th picture top left hand corner is not a crease on the corner. Possibly reflection, there is a bit of whitening on the top as aforementioned and is inherent to these screen prints.
